Blackened Fish Tacos

Fish

  1. 1 1/2 lbs tilapia or trout fillets
  2. 1 1/2 tsp chili powder
  3. 1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  4. 1 tsp garlic powder
  5. 1 tsp dried oregano
  6. 1 tsp onion powder
  7. 1/2 tsp cumin
  8. 1/2 tsp salt
  9. 1/2 tsp brown sugar

Combine all spices, sprinkle over fish evenly on both sides. Heat pan to high heat, add oil, pan fry fish until blackened, flip and blacken on other side.

Slaw

  1. cabbage (red or white), sliced thin
  2. 1/2 medium onion, sliced thin
  3. 1/2 cup cilantro, chipped
  4. Juice from one lime

Combine all ingredients in a bowl, let sit.

Avocado Cilantro Sauce

  1. 1/2 cup sour cream
  2. 1 ripe avocado, pitted and skinned
  3. 1/4 cup cilantro, chipped
  4. Juice of one lime
  5. 1 Jalapeno, chopped and seeded
  6. Salt to taste

Combine all ingredients, mix.

Serve on corn tortillas, add salsa and siracha.
